In the context of global financial turmoil, innovation, rapid response and nimble management will win out. The creative and cultural sector is growing more rapidly than the rest of the economy; it is a global leader in its field and is one of the most successful parts of the British economy.

NESTA, together with Demos, the Cultural Leadership Programme and Arts & Business are running three workshops which will explore whether there are special qualities developed by creative and cultural organisations which other sectors can learn from.

Please join us on Thursday 22 January 2009 for the second of our informal workshops on the theme of Consumption and Collaboration.

Ian Livingstone, Creative Director at Eidos and Will Gompertz, Director of Tate Media will discuss their business models and the questions of consumption and collaboration which emerge from them. The workshop will explore how creative and cultural practice might inform collaboration in other sectors, issues of managing organisations across networks and the effects of user-led innovation on the way that organisations relate to their publics.

This will be followed by a facilitated discussion in which attendees will be encouraged to explore the theme within their own context.
